IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026 concluded in Bangkok, bringing together more than 1,000 attendees, including 600 exhibitors, 361 buyers and 30 media representatives. The event combined business networking, industry discussions and destination experiences, highlighting Thailand’s growing appeal as a destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).
From culinary experiences in Bangkok to cultural discoveries and MICE venue tours in Chiang Rai, the event gave delegates an opportunity to explore Thailand beyond the exhibition floor while building connections with tourism and business events professionals from across the region.
Culinary and Cultural Experiences Before the Event
Ahead of the IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026 exhibition, delegates participated in pre-event activities that introduced them to Thailand’s culinary traditions and local culture.
The Bangkok Evening Food Tour by Lost Plate took delegates through the historic neighbourhoods of old Bangkok, where they sampled local street food and regional delicacies. The experience offered a closer look at the city’s food culture while introducing visitors to lesser-known corners of the Thai capital.
Another highlight was Becoming Thai Culinary Master at Blue Elephant Cooking School. Here, delegates explored the flavours, ingredients and techniques behind traditional Thai cuisine, with participants preparing local dishes before enjoying the food they had made. These experiences set the tone for an event that brought together business opportunities and opportunities to discover Thailand’s cultural identity.
Exhibition Highlights: Food, Culture and Networking
Throughout the exhibition, participating destinations and organisations showcased their offerings through interactive activities, food and drinks, and cultural performances.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board welcomed delegates with Hong Kong-style cocktails and mocktails, accompanied by dried shrimp roe popcorn, giving visitors a taste of the destination’s culinary scene. Pattaya offered complimentary neck and shoulder massages infused with aromatherapy, providing delegates with a chance to take a break between meetings. Networking sessions also gave participants time to connect over drinks and snacks, creating additional opportunities for conversations beyond scheduled business appointments.
The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) brought Thai culture to the exhibition floor with live performances, including a Muay Thai showcase. Delegates could also sample local favourites such as Thai milk tea and traditional snacks.
Business networking remained central to IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026. Through BizMatch and Meet, exhibitors and buyers participated in short roundtable sessions to introduce their products, services and destination offerings. Buyers who completed their scheduled business appointments could also earn scratch tickets for a chance to win prizes.

Post-Show Tours Showcase Thailand’s MICE Destinations Beyond Bangkok
Following the exhibition, TCEB organised post-show tours that introduced delegates to MICE venues and destination experiences beyond Bangkok, highlighting the opportunities available across Thailand for business events and incentive travel.
At Roastery by Roj, delegates explored the world of premium coffee through interactive activities that included smelling and tasting different coffee beans. The experience offered insight into coffee production and the characteristics that shape the final cup.
Tea lovers visited Choui Fong Tea Plantation, where they sampled locally grown tea and learned about the traditions and heritage of indigenous communities. The experience also included opportunities to appreciate local culture through traditional attire.
The final day brought together the region’s agricultural and culinary traditions through immersive ‘From Farm to Cup’ and ‘From Farm to Table’ activities. These experiences helped delegates understand the journey of coffee and tea from their origins to the finished product.
The tour also included a visit to Wat Rong Khun, widely known as the White Temple, one of Chiang Rai’s best-known cultural attractions. Alongside its heritage and tourism experiences, the province was presented as a destination with potential for sustainable tourism and future MICE events.
The post-show programme gave delegates a broader understanding of how destinations outside major cities can contribute to Thailand’s business events offering, combining cultural attractions, local communities, food experiences and distinctive venues.
Thailand Strengthens Its Position as a Regional MICE Destination
IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026 demonstrated how business events can extend beyond exhibition halls and formal meetings. By combining buyer-seller networking, professional development and destination experiences, the event gave participants opportunities to explore Thailand’s tourism offerings while developing new business connections.
The programme also highlighted the potential of destinations such as Chiang Rai to attract MICE groups seeking experiences that combine local culture, culinary traditions and sustainable tourism.
With its mix of business engagement and destination discovery, IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific continues to be an important platform for the regional MICE industry, connecting buyers, exhibitors and tourism stakeholders while showcasing Thailand’s capabilities as a host for international business events.
The next edition of IT&CMA and CTW APAC will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 14 to 16 September 2027.
