
Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam has appointed Stefano Capaccetti as General Manager as the new resort moves into its pre opening phase on Hon Thom Island, Phu Quoc.
Capaccetti brings 15 years of experience with Rixos Hotels, with a career that includes hotel openings, resort operations and senior leadership positions across several international markets. Joining Rixos Phu Quoc in August 2026, he will oversee the resort’s operations, team development and guest experience as preparations continue for its opening.
Extensive Experience Across Rixos Hotels
Capaccetti most recently served as General Manager of Rixos Qetaifan North in Doha, where he led the property through its opening ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Before that, he worked as Special Project Manager in the Rixos Group President’s Office in Dubai.
His career with Rixos has also included serving as General Manager of Rixos Premium Dubai Jumeirah Beach Residence, leadership roles at The Land of Legends Theme Park in Antalya, and cluster management positions for Rixos President Astana and Rixos Borovoe in Kazakhstan.
His experience across hotel openings and established resorts will be particularly relevant as Rixos Phu Quoc prepares to welcome its first guests.
A Career Built Around Hotel Openings
Before joining Rixos, Capaccetti held several operational positions with Rezidor, including at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Dubrovnik Sun Gardens.
He later became Director of Operations at Hilton Glasgow and Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, where he was involved in the hotel’s opening. Earlier in his career, he worked as Food & Beverage Manager during the opening of Hilton Rome Airport.
Across these roles, Capaccetti has gained experience in hotel operations, food and beverage, team leadership and pre opening planning, adding to his background in launching and managing large scale hospitality properties.
Rixos’ Southeast Asia Debut

Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam will mark the brand’s first resort in Southeast Asia. Located on Hon Thom Island, the upcoming property is planned to feature 1,500 rooms along with 24 restaurants and bars.
The resort is set to bring the Rixos all inclusive hospitality concept to one of Vietnam’s growing luxury tourism destinations, with a large scale offering designed for leisure travellers and families. As preparations progress, Capaccetti will work with the resort team to establish operations and prepare the property for its debut in the Vietnamese market.
Set on Hon Thom Island in Phu Quoc, Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam is an upcoming large scale luxury resort designed around the island’s tropical setting. The property is planned to offer 1,500 rooms, 24 restaurants and bars, and a wide range of leisure and hospitality experiences.
The resort will become Rixos Hotels’ first property in Southeast Asia, adding a major new destination to the brand’s growing international portfolio.
