Atmosphere Core, one of South Asia’s fastest-growing hospitality groups, has strengthened its leadership lineup with the appointment of three new General Managers across its COLOURS OF OBLU and Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts portfolios. The move comes at a time when the company is accelerating its expansion across Asia and Europe, and is focused on enhancing brand coherence, elevating service design, and refining the guest experience across its luxury and lifestyle destinations.

Under the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts brand, Mario Stanic has taken charge as General Manager of RAAYA by Atmosphere, while Maurice Van Den Bosch has stepped into the same role at VARU by Atmosphere. In the COLOURS OF OBLU collection, Brett Craig Castleman has been appointed General Manager of OBLU SELECT Sangeli, one of the brand’s standout resort experiences.

RAAYA by Atmosphere

Mario Stanic, who has lived and studied in Australia, brings over 30 years of experience across world-class resorts in the Maldives, the Indian Ocean, Europe, the Middle East, and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Known for spearheading transformative guest experience strategies, he blends creative thinking with deep operational expertise. Stanic emphasises authentic emotional connection as the cornerstone of hospitality. “True hospitality is about emotion. It’s the feeling guests take home. My aim is to craft moments that resonate, driven by teamwork and genuine care,” he said.

VARU by Atmosphere

Maurice Van Den Bosch, also originally from Australia, now steps into the leadership role at VARU by Atmosphere. With more than 25 years working across the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and the Caribbean, he has built a reputation for turning vision into tangible results and inspiring multicultural teams. Having previously served at Atmosphere Kanifushi and RAAYA by Atmosphere, he returns with both familiarity and fresh perspective. “Varu has a unique rhythm. It’s vibrant and full of soul. My goal is to lead with energy and collaboration, ensuring guests feel that joy in every interaction,” he said.

OBLU SELECT Sangeli

Taking over at OBLU SELECT Sangeli, South African national Brett Craig Castleman brings over 27 years of global experience, spanning Africa, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean. His leadership approach is rooted in warmth, empathy, and collaborative empowerment—qualities that align with the resort’s vision of building genuine guest connections. “Great hospitality begins with genuine connection. When a team feels valued, guests feel it too. My vision is to nurture that shared passion every single day,” he said.
