W Bali – Seminyak has announced the appointment of Laurens Kritzinger as its new General Manager, effective May 11, 2026. In his new role, Kritzinger will manage the team at the beachside resort, focusing on growing the brand’s signature style of modern luxury and creative guest experiences.

Located directly on the shores of Bali’s most vibrant neighborhood, W Bali – Seminyak is a premium resort known for its striking design, rice-terrace-inspired pool landscape, and lively social scene. The property features stylish villas and suites, world-class dining, and a 24-hour spa, making it a go-to destination for travelers seeking a mix of beachside relaxation and nightlife.

Originally from South Africa, Kritzinger brings a diverse background in luxury resort management and a strong focus on team-building to his new role. He started his career managing exclusive safari lodges in Southern and East Africa before entering the W brand as the Hotel Manager at W Maldives.

In 2018, Kritzinger moved to Indonesia to lead Natra Bintan, a Tribute Portfolio Resort. He later served as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak. His work there earned him the title of Marriott Courtyard Global Diamond General Manager of the Year in 2022, an award recognizing top performance in guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and daily operations. Most recently, he served as General Manager at The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa in Malaysia.

A passionate hospitality professional, Laurens thrives on the daily motivation of working in such an engaging industry and connecting with guests from around the globe. Continuously expanding his expertise to drive purposeful excellence, he recently completed a Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University.

Kritzinger’s personal interests mirror the energetic, lifestyle-focused identity of the W brand. In his free time, he is an active CrossFit trainer, an avid cook, and enjoys exploring local food scenes and hidden speakeasy bars.
