Accor has announced the appointment of Sushma Shetty as Cluster Director of Talent & Culture, overseeing Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate, and Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate.

With more than 17 years of HR leadership experience in Dubai’s hospitality sector, Shetty brings a wealth of expertise from globally renowned brands including Hyatt and IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Known for her compassionate leadership and deep industry insight, she has been instrumental in building inclusive workplace cultures, enhancing employee engagement, and driving organisational excellence, her employers noted.

Before this appointment, Shetty served as Cluster People & Culture Manager at Accor Hotels, Dubai Deira Waterfront and Gold Souk District. Her career began as a Human Resources Coordinator at Deira’s Hawthorn Hotel, followed by key roles at IHG, Mercure Gold Hotel, and Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel & Convention Centre Dubai.

In her new role, Shetty will lead people and culture initiatives across the three properties, with a focus on employee development, engagement, and sustaining Accor’s people-first philosophy. Her appointment underscores Accor’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent and strengthening workplace culture across its UAE portfolio.

Accor currently operates over 85 properties across the UAE and further expanded its footprint last week with the acquisition of Dubai’s Creekside Hotel, reinforcing its strong position in the region’s hospitality landscape.
