Luxury mountain destination Suncadia Resort has announced the appointment of Houston Perkins as its new General Manager and Vice President of New Suncadia Hospitality LLC, marking an important new phase for the Pacific Northwest resort as it continues its large-scale growth and transformation.

With more than 27 years of experience in luxury hospitality, resort operations, and residential community leadership, Perkins brings extensive industry expertise to one of Washington’s most well-known resort destinations. His appointment reflects Suncadia Resort’s ongoing focus on delivering elevated guest experiences, strengthening community connections, and driving long-term development across the property.

Over the course of his career, Perkins has held senior leadership roles including General Manager, Area General Manager, Resort Manager, and various director-level positions. He has overseen operations at Forbes Four-Star and Five-Star resorts, boutique luxury hotels, condo-hotels, and large residential resort communities. His hospitality background includes leadership experience with globally recognized brands such as Hyatt Corporation, Vail Resorts Hospitality, RockResorts, and East West Resorts.

Known for building strong service-driven teams and managing complex resort operations, Perkins has developed a reputation for balancing luxury hospitality with thoughtful community-focused growth. His leadership style strongly aligns with Suncadia Resort’s vision of combining outdoor recreation, residential living, and premium hospitality experiences in one destination.

The leadership announcement comes at a major moment for the resort. Following its 25th anniversary celebrations last year, Suncadia is nearing completion of a nearly $50 million investment initiative designed to reposition the resort for future growth. The multi-year expansion includes upgraded amenities, enhanced guest experiences, and continued development of residential communities across the property.

One of the most anticipated additions is Suncadia Social, the resort’s upcoming retail village set to open this summer. The new development is expected to bring more dining, shopping, and gathering spaces to the resort, helping create a more connected and vibrant experience for both visitors and homeowners.

In his new role, Perkins will oversee all aspects of resort operations, with a strong focus on service excellence, team development, and long-term strategic growth. His leadership is expected to further strengthen Suncadia Resort’s position as one of the leading luxury mountain resorts in the Pacific Northwest.
