Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has appointed Kevin Danet as Director of Food and Beverage and Liam Nealon as Director of Culinary, bringing fresh leadership to the hotel’s celebrated dining scene as it marks its 125th anniversary in 2026.
The appointments come as the historic Hanoi hotel prepares a year-long programme of dining experiences across its restaurants and bars, pairing the property’s long-standing culinary traditions with new ideas and perspectives.
Kevin Danet to Lead Food and Beverage Operations
Kevin Danet brings more than a decade of experience in Vietnam to his new role, along with valuable knowledge of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, where he previously spent nearly two years as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.
As Director of Food and Beverage, he will oversee the hotel’s eight dining and beverage venues, including Le Beaulieu, the hotel’s signature modern French fine dining restaurant. His experience in Vietnam has given him a strong understanding of the country’s hospitality market and changing guest preferences, which will support the hotel’s continued focus on memorable dining experiences.
“Beautiful venues and exceptional cuisine are important, but what guests remember most is how we made them feel,” Kevin said.
Liam Nealon Brings 25 Years of Global Culinary Experience
Joining Kevin is Liam Nealon, who brings 25 years of culinary experience across Australia, Asia and Europe. Before joining Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, he was part of the team at Four Seasons Resort Bali. With a strong focus on high-quality ingredients and natural flavours, Liam will work closely with the hotel’s culinary and service teams to develop engaging food experiences for guests.
“I am particularly passionate about collaborating closely with service teams to foster meaningful guest connections and memorable moments,” Liam said.
