Pullman Dubai Downtown has appointed Alfio Bernardini as its new General Manager, bringing extensive international hospitality experience to the Dubai property.

Bernardini has built a career across luxury and upscale hotels in the UAE, Europe and the Indian Ocean. He has held senior leadership positions with Accor and other international hospitality brands, with his fluency in Italian, English, German and French supporting his work across diverse markets.

Most recently, Bernardini was General Manager of Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City Dubai, where he led the hotel’s pre-opening phase and oversaw its commercial strategy, day-to-day operations and guest experience. His career has also included senior management roles in the UAE, Kuwait, Mauritius, Austria and Italy.

Bernardini’s academic background includes a degree from César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, followed by executive programmes in Strategic Management and Hotel Asset Management at Cornell University. He also holds an Executive MBA in Global Hospitality from Les Roches.

His experience across hotel operations, commercial strategy and team leadership will support his new role at Pullman Dubai Downtown as the property continues to compete in Dubai’s fast-growing hospitality market.

As General Manager, Bernardini will be responsible for the hotel’s overall operations and strategic direction. His priorities will include commercial performance, operational standards, talent development and creating memorable experiences for guests.

Pullman Dubai Downtown is located in the heart of Business Bay, placing guests close to Downtown Dubai and some of the city’s key business, shopping and entertainment destinations. The property combines business facilities with leisure experiences, dining and accommodation suited to both business and leisure travellers.
