ITB India 2026 has wrapped up at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, bringing together travel professionals from across India, South Asia and international markets for three days of business meetings, networking and industry discussions.
The fourth in-person edition of ITB India brought together more than 100 exhibiting brands and 600 travel trade buyers representing Leisure, MICE, Corporate Travel and Travel Technology. During the three-day travel trade show, more than 4,800 one-to-one business meetings took place, giving exhibitors and buyers an opportunity to build new connections, discuss partnerships and explore opportunities across the rapidly evolving Indian and South Asian travel markets.
International participation was a major part of ITB India 2026, with exhibitors representing Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, Africa, Northeast Asia and South America.
Among the brands and organisations taking part were Columbia Pictures Aquaverse, DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta Kemayoran, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, IHCL, MakeMyTrip, Northern Lights Villages, oneworld alliance, Philippine Airlines, Sarawak Tourism Board, Seibu Prince Hotels & Resorts, Tokyu Hotels Japan, Visit Maldives Corporation and Visit Northern Finland.

“ITB India 2026 has once again demonstrated the strong interest in India and South Asia as important growth markets for the global travel industry. One of the strongest pieces of feedback we received this year was the quality of the conversations taking place across the show floor. Exhibitors and qualified buyers came with clear business objectives, leading to focused discussions, new connections and opportunities for future partnerships,” said Darren Seah, Executive Director, Messe Berlin Asia Pacific.
“The strong international participation further reflects the confidence in these markets, while the ITB India Conference, Cruise Capsule and inaugural Leadership Roundtable created additional opportunities for industry exchange and dialogue. We are pleased with the momentum of this year’s edition and look forward to building on it in 2027.”
New formats bring fresh focus to the travel industry
ITB India 2026 also introduced new formats aimed at encouraging deeper conversations around the future of tourism and the opportunities emerging in the Indian market.
Making its debut at this year’s event, the ITB India Leadership Roundtable was held in partnership with global strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher. The closed-door session brought together senior decision-makers from tourism, hospitality, travel technology, investment, destinations and government.
The discussions looked at India’s growing importance in global tourism, including traveller segmentation, destination competitiveness, connectivity and the changing ways people discover and plan their holidays.
Participants also explored how destinations can better understand India’s diverse traveller profiles and develop strategies to attract the next generation of Indian travellers.
The Cruise Capsule returned for its second edition, bringing cruise experts, travel trade professionals and MICE specialists together for dedicated conversations around the growth of India’s cruise market.
Topics included the development of cruise tourism and the opportunities for MICE at sea, reflecting the growing interest in cruise experiences among both leisure and business travellers.
ITB India Conference explores the future of travel
Alongside the exhibition and business meetings, the ITB India Conference 2026 offered a broader look at the trends and developments shaping the travel industry.
The conference took place across the Knowledge & MICE Theatre and Tech & Experience Theatre, with four key tracks covering Knowledge, MICE & Corporate, Travel Technology and Experiential Travel. The programme featured 40 sessions and 80 speakers across 1,440 minutes of content, covering topics ranging from MICE and corporate travel to hospitality, travel technology and changing traveller expectations.
Senior industry representatives from Accenture Technology, BCD Meetings & Events, Cipla, Deloitte India, Expedia Group, FCM Meetings & Events, IDECK Limited, MakeMyTrip, QuadLabs, Spotnana, Taj Hotels, Tripadvisor and Tripjack were among the speakers and participants.
The conference added another layer to the three-day event, giving travel professionals an opportunity to look beyond immediate business opportunities and discuss the wider shifts influencing the future of travel.

Networking continues beyond the show floor
For many attendees, ITB India 2026 was also about the conversations that happened outside scheduled meetings and conference sessions. The ITB India Happy Hour on the first day provided exhibitors, buyers and travel professionals with an informal opportunity to continue discussions from the show floor and make new industry connections. Additional networking followed the Cruise Capsule, bringing together professionals from the cruise, travel trade and MICE sectors.
With its fourth in-person edition now concluded, ITB India is turning its attention towards 2027. The event continues to position itself as a focused B2B travel trade platform connecting international tourism businesses with buyers and decision-makers across India and South Asia.
As interest in India as a source and destination market continues to grow, the next edition will look to build on the business connections, industry discussions and international participation seen at ITB India 2026.
