Set to open its doors in 2026, Irama Kuala Lumpur is shaping up to be one of the city’s most significant new hospitality landmarks. With an impressive 766 rooms and suites, the property promises a fresh, contemporary stay experience—one that draws deeply from Malaysian culture while introducing a design philosophy centered on rhythm, balance, and harmony.

The name Irama, which translates to rhythm or melody in Malay, lies at the heart of the brand’s identity. It reflects a sense of flow and intentionality that influences every touchpoint of the guest journey—from the moment of arrival to departure. This idea is visually brought to life through a brand emblem featuring a songbird in motion, surrounded by patterns inspired by traditional Malay artistry—an elegant nod to heritage reimagined in a modern context.

“Irama Kuala Lumpur is designed to feel intuitive and effortless, where every element moves in sync with our guests,” said Mr Praba Ratha, General Manager of Irama Kuala Lumpur. “Our approach to hospitality is not about excess, but about creating a sense of ease, where service, space and experience come together naturally.”

In terms of scale, the hotel stands among the largest upcoming developments in Kuala Lumpur. Room options begin with spacious 32 sqm Deluxe Rooms and extend across Club Rooms and a range of suites, including Junior, Executive, and Premier categories. For guests seeking more expansive stays, the hotel will also offer Apartment Suites, a Presidential Suite, and the standout 320 sqm Irama Royal Suite. Across all categories, interiors are designed to feel warm, contemporary, and connected to the city, with sweeping skyline views.

Irama Kuala Lumpur is also positioning itself as a key destination for business and events. The hotel will house 12 meeting rooms, two grand ballrooms, and a purpose-built auditorium—making it well-equipped to host everything from corporate conferences to large-scale social gatherings. The Irama Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 700 guests for banquets or 1,000 in a theatre-style setup, while the more intimate Lotus Ballroom caters to mid-sized events. A particularly striking feature is the 300-seat auditorium on the 40th floor, offering a unique, elevated venue with panoramic city views.

Dining is set to be a major highlight, with seven distinct venues planned across the property. Guests can expect a mix of experiences—from an all-day dining café to specialty Chinese and Indian restaurants, along with a patisserie. Social spaces such as the Lobby Lounge, Cigar Bar, and a poolside alfresco setting are designed to transition effortlessly from relaxed daytime settings to vibrant evening hangouts.

For leisure and relaxation, the hotel offers a thoughtful mix of facilities catering to all age groups. A 25-metre outdoor swimming pool will serve as the main highlight for adults, while younger guests can enjoy a dedicated pool area complete with interactive features like slides, sprinklers, and water play zones, along with a separate toddler pool. Families will also appreciate the Kids Club, which includes play areas and activity zones designed to keep children engaged.

Additional amenities include a fully equipped 24-hour fitness centre, a full-service spa, and optional babysitting services. Guests will also have access to a wide range of conveniences, including concierge services, valet parking, EV charging stations, laundry, and complimentary shuttle services connecting them to key shopping and lifestyle destinations across the city.

“As Kuala Lumpur continues to grow as a regional destination, Irama Kuala Lumpur represents our commitment to developing hospitality experiences that are both globally relevant and locally rooted,” said Mr Alrik Shen, Projects Manager. “We see this hotel finding its rhythm in the city’s next phase of growth.”

Irama Kuala Lumpur is positioned to meet the needs of today’s traveller, where business and leisure intersect. Thoughtfully designed spaces and modern amenities support productivity, connection and rest, while maintaining a strong sense of place.

When it opens in 2026, Irama Kuala Lumpur will present a new expression of Malaysian hospitality, shaped by rhythm, guided by culture and delivered with quiet confidence.
