IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the first look at Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud, the highly anticipated debut of the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand in Indonesia. Scheduled to open later this year, the luxury lifestyle hotel will introduce Kimpton’s signature blend of thoughtful hospitality, contemporary design and locally inspired experiences to the cultural heart of Ubud, Bali.

Located on Jalan Bisma, one of Ubud’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, the hotel places guests within walking distance of some of Bali’s most iconic attractions, including the Ubud Art Market, Ubud Palace, and the historic Water Palace, designed by renowned Balinese master artist I Gusti Nyoman Lempad.

Known worldwide for its lifestyle-driven approach to hospitality, Kimpton brings several of its signature guest experiences to the new resort.

Every room has been thoughtfully created to reflect the natural beauty of Ubud while delivering the comfort, design and personalised touches that define the Kimpton experience.

Dining Concepts & Wellness

Food will play a central role in the guest experience, with the hotel introducing five distinctive restaurants and bars. Among the highlights is Imamura Ubud, an intimate omakase restaurant led by Michelin-starred Chef Hirofumi Imamura. The chef will also oversee Shaku by Imamura, offering a contemporary interpretation of Japanese izakaya dining in a relaxed yet refined setting.

Together, these dining concepts are expected to make Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud a culinary destination for both visitors and local residents.

As wellness tourism continues to grow in Bali, Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud will introduce a lifestyle-focused wellness program designed for today’s travellers. The name “Suntaya” [pronounced SOON-TIE-yah] reflects both the philosophy and spirit of the destination. Inspired by Sanskrit, Suniya represents stillness, while Taya symbolizes vitality, capturing the balance that defines life in Ubud.
