Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta has appointed Emy Maming as its new Director of Sales and Marketing, bringing more than 17 years of hospitality experience to one of the capital’s leading luxury hotels.
In her new role, Maming will oversee the hotel’s sales, marketing and communications functions, with a focus on strengthening commercial performance, pricing strategy and RevPAR Index (RGI) growth. She will also lead the property’s business development efforts across the corporate and MICE sectors, two important areas for the Jakarta luxury hotel.
Maming has built her career across several well known hospitality brands in Indonesia, including Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Gran Melia Jakarta, Oakwood Suites Jakarta Kuningan and Aston Priority Simatupang Hotel. Her experience spans luxury and upscale hospitality, with a strong focus on revenue performance, market share, brand positioning and strategic partnerships.
Before joining Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, she served as Director of Marketing & Commerce at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta and held senior commercial positions across the Jakarta hotel market. Over the course of her career, she has worked on market segmentation, revenue growth and team development, helping hotels strengthen their commercial performance and reach new customer segments.
Her appointment comes alongside Martin Schaumburg, who has joined Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta as Director of Food and Beverage. Schaumburg moves from Taschenbergpalais Kempinski in Dresden, Germany, and brings international hospitality experience from roles across Asia and Europe.
At the Jakarta hotel, Schaumburg will oversee its restaurants, bars, lounges and banquet operations. His focus will include developing new food and beverage concepts while maintaining the service standards associated with the Kempinski brand.

Petra Baumann, General Manager of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, said the appointments bring together strong knowledge of the Indonesian market and international hospitality experience.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome both Emy and Martin to our executive team here in Jakarta. Emy’s profound understanding of the dynamic Indonesian market, combined with Martin’s stellar global expertise and deep familiarity with the Kempinski heritage, makes them the perfect duo to elevate our commercial and culinary offerings,” said Baumann.
Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta has 289 rooms and suites in a central location, making it well positioned for both business and leisure travellers visiting the Indonesian capital. The hotel also caters to Jakarta’s growing MICE market, with event spaces designed for corporate meetings, conferences, summits, social events and weddings. Its dining portfolio includes Signatures Restaurant, OKU and Paulaner Bräuhaus, giving guests a mix of international and locally inspired culinary experiences.
With Maming leading sales and marketing and Schaumburg overseeing food and beverage, the hotel is placing renewed attention on two areas that shape its overall guest offering and commercial performance.
