Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has appointed Gregory Viaud as its new General Manager, bringing more than 20 years of international luxury hospitality experience to the resort as it begins its next chapter following an extensive transformation.

A long standing Four Seasons hotelier, Gregory joins the luxury Mauritius resort from Four Seasons Hotel Rabat Kasr Al Bahr, where he served as opening General Manager and oversaw the launch of the property in Morocco’s capital.

His appointment also brings him back to island hospitality, an environment he knows well after spending eight years with Four Seasons resorts in Bora Bora, Bali and Maui. These experiences have shaped his understanding of island destinations and the role that local culture, community and the natural environment play in creating memorable stays.

“Mauritius is a remarkable destination, and I am delighted to be joining the resort at such an exciting moment in its evolution. What inspires me most is the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team to create meaningful experiences that reflect the warmth, culture and natural beauty of Mauritius, while deepening our connection to the local community,” says Gregory Viaud.

A graduate of Vatel Nîmes Hotel and Tourism Business School in southern France, Gregory began his Four Seasons career at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane in 2004. Over the years, his career has taken him across some of the world’s most recognised luxury destinations. Following his early experience in London, he held roles at Four Seasons resorts in Bora Bora, Bali and Maui, before moving to Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

He later took on leadership positions at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center and Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. Most recently, he served as the opening General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Rabat Kasr Al Bahr, guiding the property through its opening in Morocco.

Across these roles, Gregory has developed a leadership approach centred on people, teamwork and genuine guest connections. He believes that creating memorable luxury hotel experiences starts with giving teams the confidence and support to deliver meaningful service.

Gregory’s appointment comes at an important time for Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita. The resort has recently completed a landmark seven month transformation designed to refresh and expand the guest experience.

The redevelopment reimagined the resort’s all pool villas and residence rentals, while introducing new dining concepts and enhancing OSEYAN Spa, the only overwater spa in Mauritius.

As General Manager, Gregory will focus on building on these new offerings while highlighting the character of the destination. A key part of his role will be creating experiences that allow guests to connect more closely with Mauritian culture, traditions, landscapes and local communities.

“I have always believed that the most memorable hotels and resorts are those that truly belong to their destination,”continues Gregory Viaud. “Mauritius has an extraordinary richness, from its people and cultures to its landscapes and traditions, and I am excited to discover it alongside my family and find new ways for our guests to experience that spirit.”

Gregory’s connection with island destinations extends beyond his professional career. A devoted family man, he enjoys running as well as playing football and tennis with his wife and two children.

After living in several island destinations, he has also developed a strong appreciation for the ocean and marine life. He now shares that interest with his family through time spent exploring the sea and discovering the natural surroundings of the places they call home. Travel remains an important part of family life, with Gregory, his wife and their children enjoying opportunities to explore local culture, history and cuisine wherever their travels take them.

With his international Four Seasons experience and long association with island resorts, Gregory Viaud takes charge of Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita at a significant point in its evolution, as the property builds on its transformation and continues to showcase the best of Mauritian hospitality.
