
The Tourism Fiji Board has announced the appointment of Dr Paresh Pant as its new Chief Executive Officer, following an extensive global recruitment process.
With over 25 years of leadership experience spanning tourism, hospitality, and aviation in Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand, Dr Pant brings a wealth of expertise to the role. He has previously served in senior leadership positions with Tourism Fiji, including Regional Director roles in New Zealand and Australia, where he successfully led major visitor growth initiatives and crisis recovery strategies. Recognized as a visionary strategist, Dr Pant is known for driving transformative destination marketing campaigns, fostering sustainable visitor growth, and building strong industry partnerships.
Tourism Fiji Board Chair Ilisapeci Matatolu welcomed the appointment, emphasizing the Board’s confidence in Dr Pant’s leadership. “We are delighted to welcome Dr Pant back to Tourism Fiji at a pivotal time for the industry. His proven record of driving growth in key markets, combined with his deep understanding of Fiji’s tourism landscape, made him the clear choice for this role. Complementing his extensive industry experience, Dr Pant holds a PhD in Tourism Strategy & Aviation Management from Griffith University, Australia, as well as postgraduate degrees in commerce and marketing from top New Zealand institutions.
