Space Camp not only is educational but also allows you to test your kids passion for space. My dear friend Doris Goh, Vice President, Commercial, COMO Hotels and Resorts enlightened me that COMO group are bringing back the 2023 COMO Space Camps to COMO resorts in Maldives, Phuket, Bali and a pop-up in Singapore too. “These are the only Space Camps in the world that’s accessible to guests made possible by COMO, for children and guests, holidaying at all three COMO resorts this July,” said Doris Goh.
Former NASA Astronaut, Nicole Stott, will be leading the space camps in Bali and Thailand and Egyptian Astronaut, Sara Sabry, will be leading the space camp at COMO Maalifushi Maldives. Christina Korp, founder of Space for a Better World will be co-hosting all 3 space camps with the astronauts. Nicole and Christina will also be facilitating a pop up Play by COMO in Singapore on 26 July as well as a dinner for COMO Club members in Singapore on 25 July.
“I’m sure many Indian parents would love to give their children this opportunity to engage with an Astronaut and the Space community. They just have to be there as the program is funded by COMO Hotels,” said Doris Goh.
I had to agree with her as its inspiring and not just for parents with young kids but also youngsters especially women in India – many became interested in space when Kalpana Chawla became the first woman born in India to enter space, followed by Sunita Williams.
“We’re pleased to invite adventurers from ages eight to 16 to embark on a summer quest at COMO Maalifushi led by Egyptian astronaut, Sara Sabry. This space camp promises both adventure and education in an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience. We have planned a fun-filled itinerary of space-themed activities that include Spacesuit Design, a beach clean-up, and even a session for creating food for astronauts. The best part is all activities are complimentary,” said Mohamed Sobah, General Manager, COMO Maalifushi Maldives.
Space Camp with Astronaut at COMO Maalifushi is scheduled from July 28th to August 6th.
