Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay has appointed Goeun Lee as its new Resort Manager, bringing her 25 years of international hospitality experience back to Four Seasons and Indonesia. For Goeun, the appointment is more than a new leadership role. It marks a return to a hotel group she knows well and a country that has held a special place in her life since her school days.

Goeun spent nearly a decade with Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, where she progressed through several leadership roles, from Learning Manager to Director of Rooms and later Director of People & Culture. During her time at the property, she played a role in securing its first Forbes Travel Guide Five Star rating, which the hotel retained for six consecutive years.

She also helped lead teams through the challenges of the pandemic, while contributing to employee engagement reaching a ten year high and helping reduce staff turnover by half.

Most recently, Goeun served as General Manager of Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju in Korea. The role added valuable island resort experience to her career and further expanded her expertise in hotel operations, people management and guest experience.

Her leadership style is particularly focused on people. Goeun is known for developing talent, building strong teams and creating a workplace culture based on warmth, empathy and genuine care. These qualities will be especially relevant in Bali, where community plays an important role in both everyday life and the hospitality industry.

“Goeun is an accomplished hotelier, but it’s the way she connects with people that really sets her apart,” says Didier Jardin, General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Bali. “She listens, she cares and she brings out the best in those around her. Those qualities will mean a great deal at Jimbaran Bay, and we’re thrilled to welcome her back to Four Seasons.”

Goeun’s connection with Indonesia goes back many years. She attended Surabaya Intercultural School before completing her Bachelor’s in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration in the USA. Over the years, she has continued to consider Indonesia her second home.

“Returning to Four Seasons in Bali makes this opportunity especially meaningful,” comments Goeun. “I’m excited to get to know the Jimbaran Bay team, learn from them and contribute to everything we can achieve together. It also feels very special to be making Indonesia home again.”

In her new position as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, Goeun will work alongside Didier Jardin and the resort’s leadership team. Her responsibilities will span resort operations, guest experience and talent development, with a focus on supporting the team and delivering memorable stays for guests.

The move also brings a personal homecoming for Goeun. Family remains an important part of her life, and she is looking forward to welcoming her daughters, Leah and Yuna, to Bali later this year.

With her experience across Four Seasons properties, city hotels and island resorts, Goeun now returns to Indonesia to take on a new chapter at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay.
