Discover Airlines has partnered with Spafax to bring StoryWonder, an AI powered children’s storytelling platform, to passengers travelling with the airline. The new inflight entertainment experience allows children to create personalised travel stories that can begin at home, continue during the flight and become part of their holiday memories.
Designed for families travelling with children aged three to 13, StoryWonder adds a new dimension to family travel by putting children at the centre of their own stories. The platform is now available to passengers with a valid Discover Airlines booking.
Personalised Travel Stories for Children
Families receive a StoryWonder link during online check in, allowing them to create their first story before leaving home. Through a simple setup, parents and children can select characters, themes, language and their travel destination.
The StoryWonder AI engine then creates a personalised story with the child as the main character. Families can choose from three formats: an audio story, a story children can read themselves, or a bedtime story designed to be read aloud.
The experience is available across more than 50 Discover Airlines destinations. Children can use the stories to learn about their holiday destination and its people in an engaging way, while also creating a story they can revisit after returning home. The StoryWonder platform is available in five languages: German, English, Spanish, French and Italian. Stories can be generated in 11 languages.
“As a quality leisure airline, we focus on family-friendly offerings and provide an extensive, complimentary entertainment program on our long-haul flights, as well as via our Onboard Cloud on short-haul flights,” said Sebastian Kaiser, Head of Product at Discover Airlines. “We are therefore delighted to now offer an innovative digital product from Spafax and StoryWonder, especially for families and children flying with Discover Airlines, to enjoy destination-based stories before or during the flight as well as during their vacation.”

StoryWonder Extends Into the Flight Experience
StoryWonder is integrated into Discover Airlines’ Customer Experience Platforms and connected to the airline’s Entertainment Guide, making the service part of the wider digital travel experience.
Passengers travelling on A330 long haul aircraft equipped with FlyNet® connectivity can also create new stories during the flight. An integrated audio player and download function allow stories created before departure or onboard to remain available offline throughout the journey. This gives families the option to enjoy StoryWonder at different points of their trip, whether they are preparing for departure, travelling onboard or relaxing at their destination.
“Every airline talks about improving the family travel experience, and with Discover Airlines we are actually doing it end to end,” said Dimitrios Tsirangelos, Vice President Business Development IFE Technology and Innovation at Spafax. “A child can create a story at home, listen to it on board without a connection, and finish the adventure at the destination. It is entertainment built around the way families actually travel.”
AI Powered Inflight Entertainment for Families
Developed by KB&B Family Marketing Experts, StoryWonder is making its first full airline deployment with Discover Airlines. Since its launch, the platform has recorded more than 89,000 installs and generated over 58,000 stories, with a completion rate of around 88 percent.
“Flying is already a big adventure for children, and we turn it into a story in which the child takes the leading role,” said Rolf Kosakowski, CEO of KB&B Family Marketing Experts. “More than 50 Discover Airlines destinations become an experience: children prepare for their trip through the stories, learn about the country and its people in a playful way, and relive the memories afterwards. This start was made possible by our partner Spafax, and for me it is the beginning of many more airline partnerships to come.”
The partnership gives Discover Airlines another way to connect with families beyond traditional inflight entertainment. By bringing personalised storytelling into the travel journey, the airline is creating an experience that children can engage with before takeoff, during their flight and after they arrive home.
It also reflects a broader shift in airline entertainment, with carriers increasingly exploring interactive and personalised digital experiences alongside traditional films, television shows and games.
For families, StoryWonder turns the journey itself into part of the adventure, giving young travellers a chance to learn about their destination while creating a story that is uniquely their own.
