Hilton has opened Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the Southeast Asian debut of its lifestyle brand, Canopy Hotels. Located in Bangkok’s lively Asoke neighborhood, the new hotel combines contemporary design, four dining concepts and locally inspired experiences that give guests a closer look at the city’s creative and cultural character.
Designed by award-winning interior design studio AvroKO, the hotel draws heavily from its Sukhumvit setting, bringing together Bangkok’s industrial past, creative scene and fast-changing urban landscape.
The opening adds another lifestyle property to Hilton’s growing portfolio in Asia Pacific and gives travelers a new option for a hotel in Sukhumvit, Bangkok, close to the city’s shopping, dining, entertainment and business districts.
“Bangkok has long been one of South East Asia’s most compelling cities, and the opening of Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit adds a new dimension to Hilton’s growing lifestyle portfolio in the region,” said Alexandra Murray, area vice president and regional head of South East Asia, Hilton. “With its thoughtful design, distinctive dining and city-curated experiences, the hotel introduces a new way for travelers to experience Bangkok – combining the comfort and ease of feeling at home with the inspiration of being somewhere new, delivered with Hilton’s signature hospitality.”
A New Lifestyle Hotel in Bangkok’s Asoke Neighborhood
Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit is around a six-minute walk from Asoke BTS Skytrain and Sukhumvit MRT stations, making it convenient for travelers exploring Bangkok or visiting the city for business. Popular attractions including Terminal 21 and Times Square Shopping Centre are also within walking distance, while the hotel’s location offers easy access to some of Bangkok’s best restaurants, shopping areas, nightlife and corporate hubs.
The hotel’s interiors take inspiration from the many sides of Asoke, including its industrial history and the glamour of the nearby Sri Krung Sound Film Studio, one of Thailand’s early sound-film studios.
These influences appear throughout the property in contemporary forms. A bronze façade references vintage film cameras, while a central courtyard creates a transition from the busy street into the hotel’s social spaces.
Bangkok Hotel Rooms Inspired by Thai Homes

Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit features 174 rooms and suites, designed with a residential feel that gives travelers a comfortable base while exploring the city.
The accommodation collection includes King and Twin Canopy Rooms, Accessible Rooms, Urban View Rooms, Courtyard Rooms, Courtyard Deluxe Rooms and King Canopy Corner Rooms. The hotel also offers three suites: one King Suk Jai Suite and two King Asoke Suites.
The interiors take cues from the warmth of traditional Thai family homes once found along Sukhumvit Soi 12, paired with contemporary materials and rounded forms.
Warm neutral tones and curved details create a welcoming atmosphere, while industrial-inspired touches reference the nearby Klong Toey port and Asoke’s changing skyline. One of the most distinctive details is the blue Paa Khram (ผ้าคราม) fabric canopy above each bed, inspired by one of Thailand’s oldest handwoven textiles.
The hotel also caters to families and groups traveling together. Nine pairs of interconnecting rooms feature a shared entrance area for a more private, suite-like setup, while seven pairs of connecting rooms offer direct access between separate rooms. For leisure time, guests can head to the rooftop swimming pool, which offers views across Bangkok, or use the 24-hour fitness centre.
Four Dining Concepts Bring Bangkok’s Energy to the Table
Food and drinks are central to the Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit experience, with four restaurants and bars covering everything from Spanish-inspired fire cooking to Korean cocktails and Thai coffee.

Cante, the hotel’s signature Spanish fire grill and taberna, focuses on wood-fired cooking and sharing plates inspired by Barcelona, Valencia and Andalusia. The restaurant’s interiors also draw from the cultural heritage of southern Spain.
At SoolHaus, Korean-inspired cocktails take centre stage in a bar designed for Bangkok’s late-night social scene. Luso operates throughout the day as a café serving Bangkok-roasted coffee alongside premium Thai teas sourced from independent artisan producers. On the rooftop, Glint pairs Bangkok skyline views with craft cocktails, cabanas and poolside drinks. Together, the four venues give guests plenty of options to move from morning coffee to dinner, cocktails and late-night drinks without leaving the property.
Experiencing Bangkok Beyond the Hotel
Canopy Hotels places a strong emphasis on local experiences, and Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit has developed a programme that connects visitors with the people, places and creative energy of the neighborhood.
The hotel has partnered with Bangkok-based lifestyle brand LalaLove, known for its contemporary take on Thai craftsmanship. The collaboration includes exclusive opening merchandise and a dedicated retail display at the hotel, with further partnerships with independent Bangkok makers and artisans planned.
Guests can also explore the city through experiences led by the hotel’s City Curator. The Klong Saen Saeb Boat Experience takes travelers along one of Bangkok’s distinctive waterways, connecting them with neighborhood cafés, creative spaces and riverside discoveries.
Morning Neighborhood Walks offer a chance to explore Asoke as the area begins its day, with stops at local eateries, independent cafés and community favorites. Meanwhile, Postcards from Asoke gives guests a creative way to record their impressions of the neighborhood and create a personal memento of their Bangkok stay.
“Canopy Hotels are designed to help guests feel at home, wherever they are in the world, through thoughtful design, genuine connections, and experiences inspired by each destination,” said Alex Coleman, vice president and global brand leader, Canopy Hotels. “Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit is a strong expression of that vision, drawing from the energy of Asoke and channelling it into every touchpoint, from design and dining to experiences that connect guests to the city beyond the expected. As the brand continues to grow its global footprint, we are proud to welcome Bangkok into a portfolio of hotels that share a genuine commitment to local character.”
