Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad have announced the appointment of Chef Satya Kumar as Multi-Property Executive Chef. With more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, Chef Satya will lead the culinary operations across both Marriott properties, bringing his expertise in menu innovation, regional Indian cuisine and kitchen leadership.

Having started his career with Marriott International, Chef Satya has built an impressive culinary journey across some of India’s leading luxury hotels. His experience includes senior leadership roles at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, Taj Falaknuma Palace, Park Hyatt Hyderabad, JW Marriott Pune, Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield and Sheraton Hyderabad.

Throughout his career, he has successfully led large culinary teams, developed innovative menus and earned recognition as the winner of Hyatt’s Good Food Series 2019, highlighting his passion for creative and guest-focused dining experiences.

In his new role, Chef Satya will oversee menu development, culinary strategy, kitchen operations and team mentorship across the restaurants and food and beverage outlets at both properties. His expertise extends beyond kitchen management. During an eight-month culinary journey across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, he explored regional recipes, indigenous ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, gaining valuable insights into the rich food heritage of both states.

Drawing from these experiences, Chef Satya aims to introduce thoughtfully curated menus that celebrate authentic local flavours while embracing contemporary culinary techniques. His responsibilities will also include menu engineering, food cost optimisation and maintaining consistently high culinary standards across both hotels.
