Accor is delighted to announce the appointment of Ugur Talayhan as the new General Manager of Fairmont The Palm, effective 3rd November 2025. This strategic appointment reinforces Fairmont The Palm’s commitment to delivering world-class luxury hospitality experiences in Dubai, a city renowned for its iconic destinations and premium service standards.

Ugur Talayhan is a seasoned hospitality leader with over 30 years of international experience across luxury hotel brands, including IHG, Hilton, Marriott, FRHI, Accor, and Rotana. His expansive career spans major markets across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, where he has consistently driven operational excellence, revenue growth, and superior guest satisfaction.

Before joining Fairmont The Palm, Ugur served as Country Manager at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, overseeing 10 hotels across multiple markets and spearheading development projects for new properties. He has also held pivotal roles such as Vice President of Operations at Accor Turkey and General Manager of Swissôtel The Bosphorus, bringing a wealth of knowledge in strategic operations, luxury service standards, and team leadership.

Ugur’s leadership journey includes managing prestigious properties such as The Astor Hotel, Tianjin; Raffles Hainan; The Westin Xi’an, and serving as Hotel Manager at The St. Regis Beijing, shaping his expertise in creating exceptional guest experiences while optimizing operational performance.

Recognized for his outstanding contribution to the luxury hospitality sector, Ugur was honored with the 2024 Accor Bernache Award by Accor CEO Sébastien Bazin, acknowledging his dedication to excellence, innovation, and mentorship within the industry.
