Legends Global has showcased four of Yorkshire’s leading venues, York Barbican, Connexin Live in Hull, Sheffield City Hall and First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds, demonstrating their capability to host everything from corporate meetings and association congresses to exhibitions, arena scale entertainment and large-scale faith events.
Hosting a dozen senior buyers from the MICE and major events sectors, Legends Global integrated venue briefings, operational walk throughs and hosted hospitality to evidence how one centralised team simplifies planning, contracting and delivery under a single brief and contract.
Guests experienced consistent service standards, coordinated operations and joined up planning across the portfolio. The programme focused on hosted hospitality elements, including transfer via the Yorkshire Party Bus to maintain energy and fun, lunch in Hull and a VIP box experience at the Tom Grennan show in Leeds, it also featured a ballroom dancing activity in Sheffield City Hall’s purpose-built dance hall to demonstrate creative delegate engagement.
- At York Barbican, buyers saw a city centre venue that pivots from conferences and awards to live performance, supported by integrated production and catering.
- Connexin Live highlighted the versatile auditorium spaces and one of the largest folding walls in Europe, perfect for creating a standalone conference space with adjacent exhibitor or catering breakout areas..
- Sheffield City Hall demonstrated heritage with contemporary delivery, ideal for association plenaries and elegant breakouts, with the dance activity providing a practical example of interactive programming.
- First Direct Bank Arena was presented as a turnkey exhibition venue offering approximately 2,500 square metres of flat floor space and end to end services, showing how large-scale programmes can be delivered without additional complexity for planners.

“From the first enquiry to the final debrief, buyers tell us they want service, consistency and confidence,” said Amy King, Head of Exhibitions & Live Events UK Venues, Legends Global. “This Yorkshire showcase proved exactly that, four distinct venues, one integrated team. With unified standards, shared data and a single point of contact, we make multi venue itineraries simpler to place and stronger to deliver. While this programme focused on Yorkshire, the same one stop model spans Legends Global venues across the rest of the UK including London, Manchester and Newcastle, as well as key European cities.”
Laura Harrison from Connexin Live Hull added: “Welcoming the group as part of a Legends Global itinerary let us show the bigger picture, how our venue slots seamlessly into a regional programme. The central team removes duplication so we can focus on elevating the experience on the day.”
Buyer attendee, Anna Coffey from Bien Venues concluded: “A fab day out, with a great group of people. It was a great way to see multiple venues in one day. The standout for me had to be Connexin Live, as it just a modern and flexible space. I also enjoyed the salsa lesson at Sheffield City Hall.”
For buyers, the showcase highlighted the practical benefit of a single contract and point of contact across multiple destinations and venue types. Shared standards and insights support a consistent guest experience and clearer commercial planning. Integrated operations across technology, production, catering and hospitality support delivery that scale from corporate meetings and exhibitions to arena shows and large-scale faith events.
Although attendees did not visit it on the day, the wider Yorkshire offer also includes Utilita Arena Sheffield, which adds further large-scale capability for entertainment, exhibitions and city-wide programmes.
Beyond Yorkshire, Legends Global provides the same one stop, customer driven approach across venues around the UK, as well as in key European cities, giving planners national and international reach through a single brief and contract.
