The Serai Resorts has announced the appointment of Saibal Sen as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking a significant step in strengthening the brand’s leadership team as it focuses on expansion and long-term growth. In his new role, Sen will oversee the group’s day-to-day operations, lead key strategic initiatives, and support future development plans. He will report to Malavika Hegde, Chairperson, and Venkatesh, Director, The Serai Resorts.

With extensive experience across hotel operations, asset management and business development, Sen brings a well-rounded leadership perspective to the role. Over the years, he has held senior positions with leading hospitality groups, where he played a critical role in enhancing operational efficiencies, strengthening brand performance and driving sustainable business growth.

Prior to joining The Serai Resorts, Sen served as Vice President – Operations at Evolve Back Resorts, where he was closely involved in overseeing luxury resort operations and aligning operational strategy with brand vision. His earlier career includes leadership stints with some of the most respected names in the hospitality industry, including the Taj Group, the erstwhile Starwood Group, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Sen is an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai, one of India’s premier hospitality institutes.
