
Fairmont Udaipur Palace has announced the appointment of Harsh Champawat as the new Hotel Manager of the 327-key luxury resort nestled in the scenic Aravalli Hills, Rajasthan. With over a decade of rich experience in luxury hospitality management across India and international markets, Harsh brings operational expertise, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Before joining Fairmont Udaipur Palace, Harsh served as Hotel Manager at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York, a landmark property in Manhattan.
At The Pierre, he successfully led hotel operations while upholding the hotel’s global reputation for refined service and luxury. His leadership emphasized guest satisfaction, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build strong, high-performing teams in one of the most competitive hospitality markets in the world.
Harsh began his career with Taj Hotels as a Management Trainee, working at some of the group’s most iconic properties including Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur, Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, and Taj Palace New Delhi. Specializing in Food & Beverage operations, he gradually expanded his portfolio into broader hotel management roles. As Director of Operations at Taj Palace New Delhi, Harsh gained valuable experience in rooms division, revenue optimization, and event management. His international assignments at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate and St. James’ Court, London, further deepened his understanding of the expectations of a global luxury clientele.
At Fairmont Udaipur Palace, Harsh’s leadership will be guided by three key pillars: uncompromising service standards, transformative guest experiences, and colleague empowerment. As part of the pre-opening leadership team, Harsh has already contributed significantly to shaping the property’s operational framework and guest service philosophy.
