The cake mixing ceremony in hotels has long been a festive pre-Christmas ritual, symbolizing the beginning of the holiday season and the spirit of togetherness. Over the years, this traditional practice has evolved into a lively, social, and media-friendly celebration that allows hotels to create joyful festive moments while strengthening community connections.

It was no different at Gokulam Park Sabari OMR, which hosted its traditional Christmas cake mixing ceremony. The event brought together chefs, invited guests, media representatives, and hotel associates, all donning cheerful Santa hats and festive attire as they gathered around to mix ingredients for the traditional Christmas cake. The aroma of spices, dried fruits, and rich batter filled the air, adding to the holiday charm and excitement of the occasion. Laughter, music, and festive décor transformed the venue into a warm and welcoming Christmas setting.

The event was hosted by the Group’s Managing Director, Baiju Gopalan, and coordinated by Cluster GM Anand Ramachandran and Corporate Chef Arul Selvan. The group invited dignitaries from the city, members of the police force, hospitality professionals, corporate heads, principals and heads of colleges and universities, as well as editors and TV channel heads.

The hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas décor, and everyone enjoyed the cake mixing ceremony while wearing Santa uniforms and caps. Adding a special touch to the event, children were invited to join in the festivities, making it a family-friendly gathering filled with smiles and excitement. A small award ceremony, presented by Baiju Gopalan, recognized contributions and added a moment of appreciation and celebration to the program.

After the ceremony, all guests were invited to a special high tea prepared by the corporate chef, which included snacks, desserts, wines, and tea and coffee.
