Amit Sangwan Appointed Cluster General Manager for Novotel’s Goa Properties

Bringing extensive luxury and business hotel experience, Amit Sangwan will oversee strategy, operations and commercial momentum at Novotel’s Goa properties.

Novotel has named Amit Sangwan as Cluster General Manager for Novotel Goa Candolim and Novotel Goa Resort & Spa, entrusting him with the strategic and operational leadership of both properties. In this role, he will steer overall performance, brand direction and long-term growth across the two hotels.

Sangwan brings more than 20 years of experience across luxury, upper-upscale and business hotel segments. He joins the Goa cluster from Novotel Ahmedabad, where he served as General Manager from May 2023, leading the hotel through a period of strong commercial performance, sharper operational efficiencies and consistent improvements in guest satisfaction.

As Cluster General Manager, Sangwan will oversee business strategy, day-to-day operations and commercial development for both properties. His mandate includes strengthening brand positioning, elevating the guest journey and driving growth across key segments such as leisure, MICE, and food and beverage.

Over the course of his career, Sangwan has held senior leadership roles with leading hotel brands, overseeing large-scale operations, diverse food and beverage portfolios, pre-opening assignments and resort destinations. His contributions to the industry have been widely recognised, including being named among the Top Five General Managers of Business Hotels at the Hospitality Horizon Awards 2024, Gujarat’s Best General Manager by the CMO Asia Awards, and Most Admired GM of the Year at the International Hospitality & Travel Awards.

With his appointment, Novotel aims to further strengthen its leadership presence in Goa and reinforce its commitment to delivering distinctive hospitality experiences in one of India’s most sought-after destinations.
