Luxury hospitality brand Four Seasons has announced the appointment of Reto Moser as General Manager of The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, set to open in late 2026. Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the highly anticipated luxury hotel will bring the signature Four Seasons experience to one of Switzerland’s most iconic mountain destinations while preserving the heritage and charm of the historic property.
Originally opened in 1910 as the first five-star hotel in Gstaad, The Park Gstaad has long been associated with timeless Alpine elegance and refined luxury. The property is now undergoing an extensive transformation led by investment firm Squircle Capital, with interiors redesigned by renowned French architect and designer Joseph Dirand.
Once complete, the reimagined hotel will feature 75 beautifully designed rooms and suites, including exclusive Penthouse Residences. The new luxury hotel in Gstaad is expected to blend classic Swiss hospitality with contemporary international style, creating a more elevated experience for modern luxury travelers. The new culinary offerings will include a total of seven restaurants and lounges – ranging from a modern live fire grill to Japanese omakase and Swiss classics.
The hotel will also introduce a world-class wellness offering, including a luxurious spa and fitness centre, alongside indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Two dedicated treatment rooms in partnership with Clinique La Prairie will further enhance the wellness experience, bringing advanced longevity and wellbeing treatments to the Swiss Alps. The hotel will also feature both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Kids For All Seasons, as well as Alpine Lounge and Alpine Concierge services, providing the opportunity to book personalized winter and summer activities.
Speaking about his appointment, Moser says, “Being born and raised in Switzerland, Gstaad has always been very close to my heart. Some of my most memorable childhood days were spent skiing and exploring these mountains, and so returning here to open this iconic property is both deeply meaningful and a true honour. We’re thrilled to introduce Four Seasons to this exceptional destination and to share the genuine warmth of Alpine hospitality, making every guest feel completely at home while enjoying the personalised service Four Seasons is celebrated for.”
Moser brings more than two decades of international experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He joined Four Seasons in Provence in 2004, and over the years held positions in food and beverage operations in Bangkok and Koh Samui, before progressing into senior management roles in Cairo, Moscow, and Dubai.

The reopening of The Park Gstaad marks another significant expansion for Four Seasons in Europe, particularly within the growing luxury mountain travel market. As travelers increasingly seek immersive alpine experiences, wellness-focused escapes, and high-end nature retreats, destinations like Gstaad continue to attract global attention.
Located just steps away from the famous Gstaad Promenade, the hotel places guests close to gourmet restaurants, designer boutiques, artisan food stores, and the charming atmosphere that has made Gstaad one of Switzerland’s most sought-after luxury destinations for decades.
With its rich history, stunning alpine setting, and completely reimagined luxury experience, The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel is set to become one of the most anticipated luxury hotel openings in Europe.
