The St. Regis Mumbai has announced the appointment of Nishanth Vishwanath as its new Multi-Property General Manager, overseeing both The St. Regis Mumbai and Courtyard by Marriott Agra. In his expanded role, Vishwanath will focus on enhancing guest experiences, driving operational excellence, and strengthening the brand’s leadership in the luxury hospitality and business travel segments.

With over two decades of experience across Marriott International’s portfolio of hotels in India and South Asia, Nishanth brings a proven track record in strategic growth, guest satisfaction, and team leadership.

Nishanth began his career in 2001 at Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel in the Food & Beverage division, where he quickly established himself as a leader in creating exceptional dining and event experiences. Over the years, he has held key roles in JW Marriott Pune, Renaissance Mumbai, and JW Marriott Bengaluru, shaping these properties into premier destinations for weddings, conferences, and luxury events. His efforts consistently strengthened hotel positioning, guest engagement, and revenue performance.

He went on to serve as General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, before moving into the role of Area Director – Operations for South & East India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in expanding Marriott’s regional footprint, building strong teams, and supporting multiple pre-opening hotels across the region.

Throughout his career, Nishanth has been recognized for his people-first leadership style, mentoring associates, empowering teams, and driving service standards that align with Marriott International’s values of excellence and innovation. His leadership approach balances strategic foresight with empathy, ensuring memorable guest experiences while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Nishanth holds a Hotel Management degree from Mangalore University. Beyond hospitality, he is passionate about travel, history, and culture, and enjoys fitness and reading in his personal time.
